Hope all you can help me out. I need the titles of some Ballroom Dance Songs as well as some good Swing Songs. I am going to DJ a Ballroom Dance, and am not too familiar with the standards or favorites.
Anty help will be appreciated.
Thank You

i'm not an expert, but some of my favourites,w which are also often played well liked songs include:

Quickstep: "Go on by" by Alma Cogan
"Man Wanted", "Welcome to the Copa Cabana" (Copa Cabana)

Waltz: "Wednesday's Child"

Chacha: "Lady Marmelade"

but, in general, you can buy whole CDs with dance music on them (it will also tell you which dance it is), or if you search the web, you should be able to find titles and playlists quite easily...

Stuff by Indigo Swing, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Squirrel Nut Zippers. This is good swing stuff.

Check out the music section of this web site at https://www.ballroomdancers.com/music/ for some ideas. You can browse by CD or by dance style. Each song is reviewed with stars so you can get an idea of what songs are popular and which are not.

Here are my personal recommendations for strict-tempo CDs:
Latin - Afro Cubano CD by Casa Musica
Latin Boogalu by Casa Musica

Standard - Ballroom Classics IV by Casa Musica
Ballroom Swing by Casaphon
Ballroom Fantasy by Casaphon

There a few web sites that offer short-to-extensive lists of popular music that can be danced to. I've pasted one I've got bookmarked below; it has links that can take you to some others. One caution -- the decision of what dance is done to a particular song is usually the sole decision of the person making the post. I've found a few that I disagree with. But in general I trust the site below. It includes both strict and non-strict tempos -- in other words, the songs you hear over the radio as well as the ones recorded specifically for dancers.

You can also look at Fred Bolder's on-line dance magazine at http://www.dansblad.nl/index_e.htm
He has a regular column on music you can download from MP3 and assigns dances to them, with about 15 songs per issue. They go back aways in his archive, but some of the music may no longer be available as you go further back....

Good luck and have fun
