It sells very well, but I'm no longer satisfied with the quality. I plan to discontinue the current CD-ROM just as soon as I release the next edition.
You'll be happy to know that the next version will indeed be a DVD, but in order to do that, I need to schedule a dedicated film shoot. The reason I can't use the recently filmed variations is that we did not film them with instruction or audio, and the quality is mediocre. The dedicated film shoot will give us DVD-quality video with narration, music, and complete instruction... not to mention a nicer backdrop.
And my favorite idea for the upcoming set of variations is to have 4 or 5 variations per dance, each of which can be danced socially as a self-contained pattern -- but they'll also be designed to join together into a complete dance routine for shows or competitions.
No word yet on the date... I'd like to do it as soon as possible so that I can stop selling the current CD, but I have precious little time these days between competitions. If I don't find time before the end of this holiday season, I'll take care of it first thing in 2004.
