Does anybody know of any Non-Big Band Music that the foxtrot can be danced to? Something newer and more contemporary? I want to teach my friends to dance the Foxtrot basics so they can practice with me but I want music that will be more appealing to them. CD or song suggestions would be appreciated.

How about....

"Like a Wink and a Smile" (Harry Connick, Jr.)

Some I like:

It's Magic Time (Michael Johnson)
I Hope You Dance (Lee Ann Womack)
52nd Street (Billy Joel)
Ridin' the Rails (k.d. lang, Dick Tracy
Soundtrack) (fast)
Happy Together (The Association)
Moondance (Van Morrison)
Pencil-thin Moustache (Jimmy Buffett)

Though some of the above are a bit dated, I think all would quailfy as pop/pop-crossovers. You can also find foxtrots in country music, and New Age.
