Just wondered if the Electic Slide is still popular in some areas. I haven't seen it done here in quite a long time. Saw it in the Seattle area in the two times I was up there at the dances I attended.

And then again I don't go into nightclubs anymore so maybe the Electric Slide is still done at those local spots. I did see it back when I was going to those places before I got back into ballroom some 8 years ago. I've never seen it done at any of the ballroom dances here.

They do it at the country dances at my studio, along with a bunch of other line dances.

The Electric Slide is still done throughout the midwest. It is played at least once a night at any "top 40" or retro type club. It is also a staple at Country Western places, weddings, and other big parties.

The Country folks have a zillion other line dances these days...but I still see the Electric Slide done to a variety of music styles in all sorts of places.

That dance is kind of out of style, but i know our studio does 3 diffrent ones. The cha cha line dance, the mamabo slide, and this other hip hop one. Try making one up your self to a good peice of music and show it to your teacher and see if they want to use it.

I've never seen it at studios; I'm from NJ. Mostly at weddings and X-mas parties.
