Things I Love at a good Social Dance:

1) A DJ who picks GREAT tunes and isn't afraid to take some risks

2) A partner who has a smile you can see a mile away and their eyes show how much they enjoy dancing with you!

3) A partner who compliments you right and left!

1. Ditto the DJ with a good knowledge of music.
2. Women who smile becasue I keep it simple, and not try to impress them with 32 count moves.
3. When my wife can follow my 32 count moves and end in a dip right on count 5 (WCS).
4. Spandex pants on the right woman!

When a follower says "Ohh, do that again!!" I love that!

When I see two people who are obviously new to dancing gazing adoringly at one another. We are all trained not to look at our partner in ballroom, and I think we loose something when we don't.

When someone I don't know asks me to dance.

When I ask a beginner to dance, and she positively glows by the end of the dance!

Man, too bad we live on opposite ends of the continent. If we lived in the same area:

a) I would gladly ask you

b) I would absolutley make sure you knew what a pleasure it was to spend time on the dance floor with you.

A glowing smile goes a long way. When people see you enjoying yourself, it really draws them to you. I'll never forget this one woman who I dance with sometimes saying to me when I first asked her, "I've watched you dance Phil, you look like you are just having the best time out there!" I love whn people notice things like that.

4)A partner that not only follows your leads, but injects her own distinct personality into the mix as well. As an example, There's a woman I have danced swing with many times, who'se style reminds me so much of a playful cat (I wonder if she is part cat )and it's just so much fun dancing with her!

1. When I dance with a guy, and he makes me feel like he enjoys dancing with me. He ends the dance with a huge grin and a big "thank you!"

2. When I get asked. I hardly ever get asked!

3. when I dance with someone and he leads me through all kinds of stuff I've never done before and I actually follow him.

4. when I get compliments!
