Dear friends,
Especially Mr. Keh Gough(??????????) and other experienced dancers, would you give me some advice and idea how to find a studio or a instructor when one takes a trip to Las Vegas for a few-days stay and wishes to take a lesson or two? Or has anyone had such an experience?

Simply go through the yellow pages? I would appreciate any advice. I am a lady dancer without a partner. Love to keep learning International Moderns and Latins.
Thank you in advance.
Lovetodance

thanks

It is always a good idea to book a lesson or two ahead of time.

Hi, Lovetodance:

For Standard, may I recommend Mr. Ron Yee at Step by step dance studio. The studio is located at Tropicana and Spencer across street from Liberace musium. And for Latin, I like to suggest Mr. John Yates at the FloorPlay dance studio on Spring Mountain Road near Jones.

As for social dancing:
Check out www.dancecharisma.com where My son, a ten dance competitor, and I dance regularily every Friday night 8-10pm.

thank you

Just in case of that you couldn't book a lesson with Ron or John. Hilda Lanza at the Step by Step is a great Standard teacher. She is an Imperial Society member, one of the organizers of the Nevada Star Ball, a judge of many competitions and teaching Int'l styles at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While at the FloorPlay, John's professional partner Emily is a great Latin dancer and teacher who competed with John in the Ohio Star Ball and many other prestigeous competitions.

That is to say if you don't mind taking lessons with a lady, of course. Happy dancing !!!!

Just looked up the DanceCharisma website. Please check out the photo section and under Holiday Dance Classic, Dec, 2001. The last picture is my son and his partner in action.
