I would like to quote Mikhail Baryshnikov who said. "I do not try to dance better than anyone else. I only try to dance better than myself". The other gentleman I will quote said. "Don't dance and say look at me. Instead say look at what I can do".Make your audience come to you, not you to them. Dr Ruud Vermeij. He also goes on to say. " There is enough tension without creating more. Don't worry about things you have no control over, the slippery floor, the music, the judges". I take that to mean just dance, whether it be in a lesson or in a competition, and try to be better than yourself.

A very good and wise words. There are a lot of people who does everything vice versa. And it is a pity they do so..
