After recently moving to NE ohio- Akron to be precise - from the Uk -- I am having great difficulty in tracking down places and partners(male) to dance with? I have posted an ad. and have had replies from south ohio which unfortunately, is not practical for me - and the only places that have 'singles dances ' seem to be full of people looking for a new romance rather that a dance partner(not good when you have a significant other)
Where are all the serious dancers in NE ohio-- can any one help-- desperate to dance

Have you travelled to Cleveland? I am from Akron and moved to Cleveland a few years ago. My current partner is from the Case Western Reserve team. There is a young man here who needs a partner. Also, you may try going to CBC in beachwood and ABC in Parma on their friday and saturday dances. Our USABDA chapter posts a complete list of places to go dancing. You can meet a number of potential partners in Independence at the Holiday INN on Rockside road right off 77N on Wed nights doing swing and hustle. The Cleveland Akron Swing and Husle club is huge and very active. Their parties are usually at ABC or CBC. If you are interested in the Case team I would be glad to get you the information. I recommend you go to CBC fro group lessons because they have very qualified pros (Tim Brown, Esther Rhem, Nichy Vegas, and Lisa Mancuso) who teach the group classes without having to buy contracts or such. I recommend You go to the social dances at ABC and CBC friday and Sat because they are a lot of fun. If you're interested in privates I can recommend at least six or seven pros I know in the area and can refer you to six or seven more I know of but have had t contact with.
