What is a good visual source for what people refer to as "1-5 foot positions or "1-5 arm position". Are these ballet terms? I need a good visual of these terms. Help!

Yes, they are ballet positions.

It's not clear that they are really suited to describing ballroom since a lot of things have to be described as "_ position only with(out) _". They may perhaps be borrowed primarily simply because they are there...

For the 1-5 foot positions,a good place to start is in the "learning center" of this web site. Just click on "foot positions".
