Con te Partiro

I would like to dance to Andrea Bocelli's Con te Partiro at my wedding. However, I can't seem to find if there is a dance that will fit the music. Does anyone know if dancing to this piece is even possible?

Thanks!
Jen

I would suggest a silver foxtrot, even though the song has a waltz feel. I would also suggest discussing it with a dance instructor so you may recieve some help with choreographing the dance.

Jen,

I agree. This particular song is geared towards an advanced Foxtrot. You may want to search for an Instructor and discuss your options. You may also perform a combination of dances. For example, Foxtrot and Rumba, Bolero or even Tango. Again, discussion with an Instructor will prove valuable.

One more point, start very early. At least a year, minimum, in advance of your Wedding date. Learning to dance in a month or so will prove difficult and frustrating. Assuming you and your fiance are beginners. Difficult and frustrating even with experience.

Good Luck,

Gord

There is a waltz and viennese waltz version of this song. I have heard them at competitions before. They never really seemed to catch on, so they may be hard to find, but they are out there.
