Does anyone know the name of the track (or CD used) for the music playing in the introductory Jonathan & Melissa Atkinson video clip at this website?

The song that they waltzed to in the video was from the movie the cider house rules. It is the song that plays during the main titles, but it doesn't really have a name. It's simply known as Maint Titles to Cider House Rules (or at least thats what it says on my piano sheet music...)

Thanks so much!

I wouldn't have been able to locate that track without your help.

Would it be on the soundtrack to the movie then?

No problem, my pleasure.I'm not sure if it would be on the soundtrack, but it probably would be. Tell me if I can help you with anything else.

I went to amazon.com and found the soundtrack to Cider House Rules. "Main Titles" is the first track on the CD. (They had a sample of the track as well.)

The sample clip seems a little faster in tempo and the piano is not as clear and pronounced as it is on the Atkinson video clip. It makes me wonder if the Atkinson's played the original soundtrack or had it redone for their performance.

Anyway -- thanks again!

I'd imagine that they slowed down the pace on the c.d player. But if you want that song to dance to it is on a ballroom cd called "Standard Music" which is actually sold on this website. On the c.d it is the perfect tempo for a waltz. The song is the first track on the c.d and the cover of the cd features a couple in white. I hope this helps!

I didn't know that. I should have waited for your reply before ordering the soundtrack. I am going to order the "Standard Music" cd as well.

Thanks so much for the tip! You've been such a great help.

I just listened to the sample of the first track on "Standard Music," and it is the very track (exact tempo and everything) the Atkinson's used for their performance.

Now all I have to do is learn the routine they performed, and I'll be all set.

Thanks again!
