Need suggestions for solo dance relative to new en

Hi there, my community theatre has decided to perform the legend of sleepy hollow, and i have been tapped for the lead of ichabod crane. I am required to perform a silly dance by myself during the van tassel's quilting frolic, but am having problems finding a dance germane to the period. Any ideas? The dance itself doesnt have to look silly since i can doubtless make it look silly and poorly done with no problem whatsoever. :P

Well, I'm not exactly sure because its been a while since I've read sleepy hollow. I think a foxtrot, waltz, or two-step would be just fine. HOpe I helped! good luck

Sleepy Hollow is early 19th century or before, as I recall.

Therefore, Waltz, Foxtrot, and Two-step would not have been invented. YOu are much better off considering some kind of folk dance, imo.
