Rudolph Fallaway in Tango

Do I need a connecting step from an X line to right point and a Rudolph fallaway?

X line starts backing LOD
Right point facing center
Rudolph faces LOD

(all followed by a back check to 5 step ending DW)

I'm having trouble making a smooth transition and my teacher is examining in Malaysia until November.

Thanks,

OB

if your transition is really rough you should try an promenade figure so for example the X-line to fallaway whisk from promenade position, oversway from PP, chair from PP or whiplash from PP they may work better than doing hte right point

Sex,

Thanks.

We've got it solved now:

Checked Fallaway to syncopated back lock to 6 step fallaway to X-line closing to an up line(name??) followed by Rudolph.

Working very well now.

Sex,

Oops, missed a step:

Checked fallaway
Whiplash
Syncopated back lock
6 step fallaway (overturned a bit to face DC against LOD)
X line
Right point
Rudolph

My problem seemed to arise I was underturning the fallaway and I wasn't able to get the correct alignment making me think I was missing something.

I'll give your suggestion a try as well.

Guys dont you do any basic walks in Tango. It seems like one big blob.It needs spacing out a bit.

Onie,

Just a sequence. Walks are elsewhere in the routine.

Besides the routine was put together by a former national champion, ISTD Fellow/Examiner and 6 time judge at the World's. I'm not about to tell him different. LOL! (Although I suspect he hasn't done any in so long he's probably forgotten how to do a tango walk. Lucky for me he has a sense of humour!)

He taught it to me. I just can't do it.
